To mark their 20th anniversary, Endeavor Global asked Wonder Wheel co-founder Kieran Kesner to take on an ambitious mission: travel to 15 countries, across five continents, in just two months to document the stories of entrepreneurs transforming their local economies to help shape their annual impact report.
What started as a one-off project became an annual partnership. Year after year, we’ve expanded our collaboration — providing strategic creative direction, content production, and storytelling that brings Endeavor’s global impact and “Multiplier Effect” to life.
While there are endless “once in a lifetime” adventures we’ve had with Endeavor, one in particular stands out. We were wrapping up a job in Argentina’s capital, Buenos Aires, when Endeavor reached out asking if we’d go further south to meet their first joining founder at his home in Patagonia, nestled at the base of the Andes Mountains.
Wences Casares lives on a 50,000-acre ranch (yes, you read that right) with his wife and kids. Founder of Patagon, Latin America’s first comprehensive Internet financial services portal which was sold to Banco Santander for $750 million, he is currently the founder and CEO of Xapo, a bitcoin wallet startup rumored to be one of the largest bitcoin holders in the world.
While we only had a handful of hours to spend time with Wences, we managed to explore his property, get seriously stuck in a snowbank, eat fresh mutton, and take a nap in a wolf-fur blanket before we were off to meet the next founder.
